Building the Perfect Kit: Our Journey Through Product Development

Building the Perfect Kit: Our Journey Through Product Development

Once we pivoted to a fresh-cut model, it was time to go all in on product development. We needed to build not just a product—but an experience. Our challenge: create meal kits that could sit on shelves for 6 months, cook in under 10 minutes, and still deliver the freshness and flavor of a home-cooked meal.

We experimented with blanching techniques, dehydration ratios, spice combinations, and packaging formats. Every dish went through 15–20 rounds of iterations. Every veggie cut was tested for shape, consistency, and shelf stability. From the masala blend to moisture levels, each element had to perform under both lab conditions and real kitchens.

We also had to think about emotional connection. The kits had to feel Indian, look homemade, and taste authentic—while also being as convenient as instant noodles.

The outcome? The final Poshaqq ready-to-cook meal kits offered a rare combination: hygienic, pre-cut vegetables, handcrafted spice mixes, sustainable packaging, and no need for refrigeration—all wrapped in 7-minute cooking time.

With this, we weren’t just building a product. We were designing the future of Indian kitchens.
